Eastern Dorrigo Community Group

Nestled in the mountains of Coffs Harbour's Hinterland, a 40 min. drive west of Coffs you will find the picturesque Eastern Dorrigo Plateau. Lowanna and Ulong are the two main villages with smaller surrounding villages making up the Eastern Dorrigo Plateau. The plateau was once a very busy logging and gold mining area. Today it is a much smaller community but it is still a great place to visit and and even better place to live.

The community group meets bi monthly and discusses all elements of living in the Eastern Dorrigo Community.

Woolgoolga Heritage Walk

In April 2012 local member Andrew Fraser announced a NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership Program grant to the Rotary Club of Woolgoolga of $15,000 towards a Woolgoolga Heritage Walk, an idea resurrected by long-time Woolgoolga/Emerald Beach local, Don Clinch.

The Walk is part of Coffs Harbour City Council’s master plan for Woolgoolga and will be coordinated by CHCC in conjunction with a sub-committee of Woolgoolga Rotary. Partners in the project include Lions, CWA and the Chamber of Commerce.
