On Friday October 13, the Bailey Centre Liberty Service Station will donate 10 cents per litre of petrol sold to the Coffs Harbour Parkinson’s Support Group Nurses Fund.

The Bailey Centre owner, Mr Paul Amos is hoping to raise at least $4000 which will go toward funding a Parkinson’s Nurse for the Coffs Harbour and surrounding regions.
Parkinson’s NSW Registered Nurses may assist with in-home assessments, supervision of medication, symptom management, referrals, emotional support and education for people living with Parkinson’s.

Currently, Parkinson’s NSW have three nurses working throughout regional NSW. With the increasing number of people being diagnosed with Parkinson’s and the lengthy waitlist for people to access medical help, the need for nurses to assist people in regional communities with practical support is becoming greater.
