Understanding the future needs of our workforce

Primary tabs

The future employment needs of Mid North Coast business and industry will be closely examined as part of a new body of research currently being undertaken by Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC).
The Mid North Coast Skills Audit has been funded by the NSW State Government and will be conducted with business and industry participants across the region throughout the months of April and May, with a final report due for completion in June.
The Skills Audit seeks to identify the skills required by local business and industry to manage and generate future growth in the region. It will identify the potential opportunities and constraints faced by employers in attracting and recruiting employees with the required skill sets.

“The Skills Audit will provide some clarity with regard to the skills mix required for business and industry to flourish in the next 5 to 10 years”, commented RDAMNC CEO Kerry Grace. “This will provide an important evidence base to build a skilled regional workforce into the future that best promotes competitive economic advantage. “

Business and industry can participate in the Skills Audit by completing an online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/rdamncskills
“I encourage business and industry across the Mid North Coast region to participate in this important work”, concluded Ms Grace.
