ARTS NSW CULTURAL GRANT : CLOSES JUNE 23

ARTS AND DISABILITY EXPO: FEASIBILITY STUDY

Organisation: 

Accessible Arts is currently working on a feasibility study for an Arts and Disability Information Expo to be held biennially in Sydney, with the inaugural event in 2015. The study forms part of the organisation’s response to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
It is a targeted study that has been developed in partnership with the postgraduate business school students, enrolled in the Pricing and Revenue Management subject, at the University of Technology, Sydney.

AMNC & TLPC LAUNCH “FOOD & ART” CAMPAIGN: CULTURAL TRAILS

Organisation: 

Arts Mid North Coast joined with the Legendary Pacific Coast to launch the new $200,000 regional tourism marketing campaign, Food & Art at the Manning Regional Art Gallery. Arts Mid North Coast will  very shortly be launching twelve new cultural trails online showcasing  nearly 350 artistic, creative or cultural features.
 
 

Women in Non-Traditional Trades

New Women in Trades Business Mentoring Program on offer

Women in trades are being encouraged to take advantage of a new business mentoring program to be offered on the Coffs Coast.

ETC’s National Manager of Business and Strategy Jackie Parkinson said the six month program would provide an ideal springboard for tradeswoman wanting to boost their role in non-traditional trade areas such aschefs, gardeners, mechanics and sheet metal workers.

Marine Discovery Series

Organisation: 

Katrina Kaposi is a former Marine Science and Management graduate at Southern Cross University. She has gone on to complete an Honours Research year at the National Marine Science Centre, Coffs Harbour. Her research investigated the impacts of small particle pollution on marine larvae. Join Katrina as she presents her findings.
Topic “A small problem or a big deal”- the impact of microplastics on marine larvae.
Guest Speaker: Katrina Kaposi – NMSC honours graduate.

Promoting Yourself on Social Media

Members and guests were given an excellent overview on the differences and benefits of promoting yourself via social media, by Liz Keen, ABC Open Producer, Coffs Harbour, at our May monthly meeting.
Facebook is still the most popular form of social media by advertisers and it is ranked at number one, followed by for example: Twitter and Linkedin
The older population is embracing Facebbook more than ever, while Gen Y tend to use other forms of social media, like Twitter, Instagram and Flickr.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: ON STAGE AT PLAYERS THEATRE

Disney’s highly successful HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL On Stage is on at the Players Theatre, Lord Street, Port Macquarie (An Exclusive Players Theatre Production) from 9th May to 1st June.
It has a talented cast from schools in the Greater Port Macquarie District including Melville High, Port Macquarie High, St Joseph’s Regional High, St Paul’s High, Mackillop Senior College and Camden Haven High.

ARTS NSW: ARTS & CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM GUIDELINES

Arts NSW has today released Guidelines for applications to
the Arts & Cultural Development Program (ACDP), which
has replaced the previous Arts Funding Program.
The ACDP represents a renewal and re-thinking of the
NSW Government’s support for arts and culture.
Through this new program, Arts NSW will fund projects
and programs that are capable of creating the greatest
impact and value, and support a resilient and vibrant
arts and cultural sector delivering quality arts and cultural
