Commonwealth Respite & Carelink Centre MNC

RESPITE SERVICE: 24 hour respite service. Provides information/advice to carers about respite options, plus referral to services. Coordinates short term emergency or planned respite. Purchases respite when there is no alternative. Out of hours service ie. nights/weekends and phone for crisis situations. Also have 16 Consumer Directed Care Packages for Carers of a person who is frail aged or has dementia.

Central library of Coffs Harbour City Library and Information Service (Coffs Harbour City Council).

Free membership, loans, public access computers, free wifi/internet, study areas and printing/copying/scanning facilities.

Weekly children's storytime, early literacy programs, home library service for housebound residents, reference service, inter-library loans and regular programs and events - such as author talks and holiday activities. Annual Summer Reading Club for children in December/January.

Heartbeat's Coffs City Mission

Providing care and assistance to those in need within our community through Heartbeat Market, Heartbeat Church and Heartbeat House.
Services include -

Retail trade training Furniture, Manchester, Clothing assistance Senior's Free computer training and access to broadband internet services Christian Counselling Free Marriage Celebrant Services for those wanting a Christian Church Wedding Service.

Home Library Service

Special service of Coffs Harbour City Library (Coffs Harbour City Council).

The library provides a free home delivery service to housebound people in the Coffs Harbour local government area.

Items are delivered and collected every four weeks on a specific day, based on the member's personal profile.

Residents of the Coffs Harbour local government area who cannot visit the library due to ill-health or disability are eligible to join this service. Full time carers of housebound members are also eligible for the service.

Key Employment aims to provide excellent quality assessment; training and recruitment services to help people with disability get more skills, better jobs and more respect in the community.

Lifeline North Coast

Lifeline North Coast (NSW) provides a telephone crisis support service. The service is delivered by volunteers who are skilled and equipped to assist those who call by providing support to people in crisis and referral options.

This service has been operating in Coffs Harbour for over 25 years. We also have a sub-centre in Grafton.

North Coast Settlement Service

Helping Refugee entrants and Migrants settle into Coffs Harbour and the North Coast, providing, Casework, information, referral, and capacity building in Coffs Harbour, Lismore, Ballina, Tweed, as well as information distribution in the Clarence Valley.

Northcott Disability Services

Community Participation Program - Individual. This program is tailored to the individual, by developing an Individual Program Plan. It focuses on what skills, goals, interests and strategies the individual wishes to achieve.

*Community Participation Program - Group. The group program is facilitated in a small group setting to provide opportunities for people to work towards achieving greater independence, building self-esteem and confidence and participating fully in community life.

Spinal Cord Injuries Australia

Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) was formed in 1967 by a group of young men with a severe disability who wanted to change the world. They set about demanding that they be able to live lives no different from anyone else.
SCIA is a member-based social enterprise with a majority of people with a disability amongst the staff and directors.
Our objectives as an organisation are twofold:
* To provide support to people with a disability to remain actively involved in personal, social and vocational activities.

Youth Directions Inc

Youth Directions Inc is a not-for-profit organisation that services the Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Nambucca and Clarence Local Government Areas. Our purpose is to create opportunities for young people to realise their potential.

In pursuit of this mission, Youth Directions assists young people to:
• engage with education and training
• attain accredited qualifications (Year 12 or equivalent)
• develop career aspirations
• navigate pathways to successful futures
• transition to further education, training and employment
